Miyo's Restaurant Hilo / Full Menu Set + Chef Portraits
My fondest memories often contain food. The aroma of my mother’s cooking; the smell of garden-grown rosemary and roasted potatoes in the oven or fresh tomato sauce cooking on the stove emanating from the kitchen. Memories of my travels in Peru tasting authentic ceviche for the first time, enjoying grilled fish and calamari by the sea with my Italian family in Calabria in the summertime…
Food unites and inspires. It nourishes not only our bodies, but our souls, too. Food gathers people together and allows for us to set aside our stresses to be present with one another and delicious food in our bellies.
When I was contacted to create content for Miyo’s Restaurant in Hilo by Art over at AllInOneDigiMedia I grew excited at the chance to capture a chef’s expression of culture and personality through food. Our time together flew smoothly by as every dish was presented before me. The creativity, passion, detail and soul of chef Louis Pauole is so clearly visible with every plate. I’m grateful to have worked with them to create their new look for their new menu, and look forward to dining there again and again!
If you’re in the Hilo area, be sure to head over to Miyo’s for authentic Japanese cuisine. You’ll find them on Hinano Street within the Manono Marketplace just across from Big Island Candies.
